This is used to set a auto destroy timer for items dropped by the player.

Go to the BP_StaticMasterItem and create a new variable called UseDroppedItemDestroyTimer and set its variable type to Boolean and tick on Instance Editable. Next create another variable called DropDestroyTime and set its variable type to Float and set its Default Value to 1000 and tick on Instance Editable.

Next copy the image below, you will need to create a new custom event called DropDestroyTimer.

Then copy the image below, location at the top of image.

Now go to the BP_SkeletalMasterItem and create a new variable called UseDroppedItemDestroyTimer and set its variable type to Boolean and tick on Instance Editable. Next create another variable called DropDestroyTime and set its variable type to Float and set its Default Value to 1000 and tick on Instance Editable.

Next copy the image below, you will need to create a new custom event called DropDestroyItem.

Then copy the image below, location at the top of image.

To enable the dropped item destroy timer just set the UseDroppedItemDestroyTimer to true (Tick on) in both the static and skeletal master item blueprints and use the DropDestroyTimer to the length of time (In seconds) you would like after being dropped to be destroyed.
