In Survival Game Kit V2 weapons use magazines to reload not just bullets. So to reload a weapon you need a magazine that fits in the weapon and you need bullets that fit in the magazine, to load ammo into a magazine drag and drop the ammo on to the magazine item in an inventory.
Once you have a loaded magazine you can now load the weapon, you can do this in a few ways. The first is by press the “R” key to reload the weapon while the character it holding the weapon. Please note the weapon will not reload an empty magazine, so you mag must have ammo in it before this will work!
Another way is drag and drop the magazine on to the weapon in the inventory, this will only work if the weapon doesn’t already have a magazine attached. This will only work if in the ItemList your magazine item has Can Only Remove/Add when Weapon Held ticked Off in the Attachment Details section.
Last you can double click the weapon in the inventory to open the attachments menu, there you can drag and drop the magazine into the magazine attachment slot, again this must be empty. Here you can also drag the magazine from the attachment slot to remove it from the weapon.
In Survival Game Kit V2 weapons can also reload ammo directly into the weapon instead of a magazine, this is called chambering. This is used for the shotgun M1982 which doesn’t use a magazine. The P1911 and M4A4 do both allow chambering as well but only 1 bullet as without a magazine those weapons can only store 1 bullet. To chamber a weapon you can do the following.
Press “R” to reload the weapon while the character is holding it, to do this you must have the bullets that can be loaded in to the weapon in your inventory.
You can also drag the ammo on to the weapon while its in the inventory, this will only work if Allow Chambering When In Inventory is ticked On in the weapons holdable blueprint class defaults and if the weapon isn’t already full of ammo.
